This song is for all my folk that chose to take their path in life. It’s crazy how your encouraged to aspire to be anything you want to be when your young, but slowly as you grow, the world advises you to ‘think more realistically’ or ‘to settle for the norm’. Way too often people lose sight of their dreams and find them selves lusting for common place things that pacify them for the moment. Those people that lost their way are the same people try to make you feel some type of way when you find your way. THAT AIN’ T THE WAY I PLAY!
The Music:
I was in the studio w/ !LLMIND one day when he pulled this beat out the stash. Coincidently it was the same time I left my day job for the first time to pursue this music full time. When I first heard the beat, it was like the perfect score to my life at the moment.
The Art:
I saw this French Art Deco poster that placed Letter forms into a cityscape and thought that the concept of the poster would fit the song perfectly. I know I’m no Boris Bilinsky, but I got this one off without taking too much from the original poster. Watch me redo this one tho. LOL
